Welcome to Queen City VT Indivisible.

Queen City Vermont Indivisible is a group of concerned individuals seeking to preserve democracy, resist autocracy, and empower our community through nonviolent protests, actions, and local events.

We are one of about 2,500 local groups affiliated with Indivisible.org, a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States. We organize public protests, marches, and rallies. We lobby officials at all levels of government. We educate and activate our neighbors and ourselves. We stand witness. We engage in mutual aid. We build community. We do whatever might help to defend Democracy in Burlington, Vermont and the nation.

More information about our group's organization and activities:

Steering Committee: We are a steering committee of 11 people and we meet twice each month. We make decisions by modified consensus and generally have fun in the process. We also have two focused committees: the Legislative Committee and Community-Building Committee, which both have general members. Let us know if you'd like to join one of the focused committees.

Newsletter: We send out an email newsletter about once a week (more often if there's breaking news) with the latest information and actions. If you would like to sign up for our posts, email us with your name here: QueenCityVermont+join_list@proton.me

Monthly Meetings: We host monthly membership meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, from 5:30-7:30 at the Queen City Brewery Community Room, 703 Pine Street, Burlington. These meetings are open to everyone and typically involve information about upcoming action events, legislative advocacy, and information and presentation from local defenders of democracy. Being with people who care isn't just fun - it's good for Democracy!

Why "Queen City"? We formed in Burlington, Vermont - AKA the Queen City.
