Picket ICE with Justice for All
Friday, October 24 | 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
,
75 Lower Welden St, Saint Albans, VT
Our friends from Indivisible Brattleboro have formed a group called Justice for All to picket the ICE office in St. Albans. No blockading or obstruction, just a peaceful moving sidewalk presence around the building to demand Human Rights for All, and an end to ICE agents being allowed to mask and travel in unmarked vehicles in Vermont.
Reason for optimism
Enough people made enough noise to convince Disney they should stand up to the illegal strong-arm tactics of Trump's FCC. So, they reversed themselves and Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air even though he made fun of MAGA. This is the
power of noncooperation
! A giant mega-corporation is more afraid of fed-up ordinary Americans than of fascist bullies. The threat of a boycott forced them to do the right thing. This feels like the start of something good! Of course, Nexstar stations, including ABC22/Fox44 in Vermont,
continue to block Kimmel
, so there's still work to do...
