No Kings III - Potluck Activities

Three activity ideas you can do in addition to sharing a meal:

Get to know your neighbors with some easy "ICE breaker" questions:

• What do you love about spring?

• How long have you lived in Burlington and what drew you here?

• With all that is going on, what is giving you hope these days?

• What is one hope you have for the next generation and why?

Make March 28 Protest Signs

What you will need:

• Poster Board, or Pizza Boxes, or Broken-Down Cardboard...

• Large Markers, Sharpies, and Scissors

• Paint sticks or stakes to hold the sign higher (hands also work just fine)!

• Looking for some sign inspiration? Check out this site. Really, the options are endless. In other words, have fun, be creative, and make a sign that supports your reason for protesting!

Make ICE ALERT Whistle Kits:

What you will need:

• Whistles (available online and locally)

• Strings

Ice Alert Whistles help keep our community safe by quickly alerting that ICE is

1. In the area (three short whistle blows)

2. Detaining someone (longer whistle blows)

Whistle Kits are easy to make, and the alert system is easy to learn and use.
